Now, after their portraits and rehearsal dinner, at last: Jess and Jonno’s wedding!  With their darling baby daughter, Grace, along for the day.  Plus heaps of other cute kids, overjoyed family members, the beauty of Meadowood, and a really surprising, hilarious family dance tradition.

Jessica, a veteran event planning pro, did her own event planning and design – and somehow didn’t go crazy; looked totally beautiful and happy on her wedding day; and was a kind-hearted dream to work with.  All of this with an 8 month old baby getting her first teeth, and a recent move back to the states from Asia.  I can’t imagine all of that, but she did it with grace and joy.  Now, Jess, you just need to move to Napa so we can team up on a zillion more events together!

OK: this is where Jess’s family caught me completely off guard (in a totally delightful way!): apparently they have a tradition at weddings and parties, that involves the “Hawaii 5-0” theme song and the men acting as surfboards for the women.  I. LOVE. IT.

Here’s hoping I get to encounter that whole awesome family on the dance floor again soon!  Thank you, Jess and Jonno (and Grace) for a wonderful wedding week!
