Anna and Dana’s (intimate, family-only wedding), Bolinas

Anna and Dana had a wedding just for the two of them, and their immediate family, and it was an absolute joy to be a part of. Not only were they married on a cliff overlooking Stinson Beach and the Bolinas channel, which is super dear to my heart; not only did we randomly bump into one of my best friends, taking a break from her writer’s retreat, during the 5 minutes we were on the beach; not only was the weather so perfect and clear and sunny and beautiful I wanted to pinch myself; not only did Anna’s parents have a wonderful art collection, which happened to include one of my favorite sculptures made by one of my uncles; but getting to be a part of that family group for the day was beyond special.  It was wonderful to get to capture such an intimate, loving, tight knit wedding, and I felt pretty special to witness it!

Especially after one of the bride’s best friends literally hid in the bushes during the first look and ceremony – in full camo – in order to sneak some photos of the couple, too.  At least I didn’t have to hide in the bushes?  Thanks for having me there to document this beautiful wedding, A&D!
